Pyra sighed against Billy’s lips as she was tapped for a third time by a Gryffindor on their way to potions the last class of the day and week as it was Friday.
”Pyra please, he said five points for every minute you’re late!”
“Oh dear god, people is it that serious?” Pyra sighed banging her head against her boyfriend’s chest. “Fine I’ll go to the damn class on time you freaking weirdoes.”
“Py,” Billy whispered in her ear as the Gryffindor ran off, “why don’t you care about the points?”
”Maroon and gold, can you say ick? I just hate those colors and I will not play any part in them decorating the school.”
“So you prefer green and sliver?”
”Its okay, but actually I like Ravenclaws colors best,” Pyra said as they picked up their bags and heading off to potions walking in a few seconds before Professor Snape.
“Why Pyra how kind of you to grace us with your presence, in a timely fashion,” Snape sneered causing the Slythern’s in the room to laugh led by a snickering Draco.
Pyra didn’t bother to reply as Snape started to fire off questions related to the homework from the night before ignoring Hermonie’s hand and picking on all the students that avoided eye contact.
Snape had long stopped trying to catch her this way, simply because she always answered loud and clear then went back to looking like a delinquent doodling on the edge of her scroll.
“Ms. Granger…” Snape said bored halfway through the class no victims left.
“…is actually a misnomer as there is no light of the new moon but that is the only time of the month where you can safely pick…”
“When I want someone to recite the textbook to me I will be sure to ask,” Snape snapped effectively shutting Hermonie up.
The class shifted then to her favorite part actually making the potions which reminded her so much of Chem lab, which had been another favorite of hers. She read her instructions over once again ignoring the Gryffindor on her right and started making her potion.
Snape looked over her potion and sneered, “I suppose its adequate for a Gryffindor.” Snape then turned to the person she was sharing a table with. “Too runny,” he said before moving on.
After finishing his rounds Snape headed to the front of the class. “Cap off a sample of your potion and leave it at the desk,” Snape said and Pyra did just that getting rid of the rest with her wand and putting it on the desk she strolled out where Billy was standing with Mystic and Draco.
”Afraid of losing points for your house Jacobs?”
“Yeah that’s it, had nothing to do with the begging.”
Billy grinned, “Its gotten so one can’t make out in peace anymore.”
“What?” Draco asked mystified.
“We were in the hall, and like every other minute, Pyra please come to class, it was pitiful,” Billy said simply.
“Well peoples we gots to go, we have practice.”
”Alrighty later Myst,” Pyra said with a smile.
“Bye guys,” Billy said and Draco nodded in his direction. “You know you…”
“Don’t even,” Pyra said as she stuck her tongue out at a Ravenclaw who gave the hand holding couple a shake of her head. “Geez, these house freaks get on my nerves.”
“I think its just us, we’re supposed to be dire enemies, Slythern’s just shouldn’t mix with the other houses let alone Gryffindor. Its ‘wrong’.”
“And I like pink.”
“Oh! There’s something I want to show you, I had my parents send it by owl, once they figured the whole thing out.”
“What is it?”
”Surprise, go put your books and stuff down and I’ll meet you in front of the great hall.”
“Ooo, I’m so changing.”
Billy grinned and they split up heading up to their common rooms. Pyra stopped on the stairs though noticing a familiar face.
Hey Py, where you going?” “To dump my books and change, Billy has something to show me.”
”I have no idea he said he got it from his parents, once they figured out the whole owl deal.”
“Ok,” Chester said with a nod.
“What are you up to?”
“Sam and I are gonna study for the history of magic exam on Monday.”
“Ah okies good luck with that.”
“Thanks,” Chester says running down the stairs as they start to move. “Later.” “Bye,” Pyra calls going back up.
She goes into her room and drops her bag on her bed. Pulling off the robes and kicking off her shoes. She went pulled open her drawers and took out a long sleeved red shirt with black stars across the front, and a pair of black jeans. She pulled her black sneakers back on and fished around for her fire belt. Grabbing her wand she adjusted her pocket so it easily fit inside then left the room.
Heading towards the great hall, she spotted Billy and dashed the rest of the way to him when she saw what he had.
“Awesome! You play the guitar?”
“Yeah,” Billy said as Pyra looked over his outfit. He was wearing a black short sleeved buttoned down shirt, with black mesh sleeves underneath it. Along with some baggy black pants.
“You look great,” Pyra said with a grin.
“So do you, let’s grab some food and get out of here.”
Pyra nodded and they went to the nearest table filled plates and left never noticing the strange looks they got from the Ravenclaws who weren’t sure they were in their house or not.
Laughing the duo went outside ignoring the strange looks they got for not having coats in the cold weather. Taking a seat under a tree they took out their horde. Laughing again when they realized they took things that the other liked.
Billy put the guitar aside as they both ate. Once stuffed Pyra moved between Billy’s legs resting her back against his chest. Billy reached to the side and pulled the guitar against the both of them strumming an idle cord.
“Ooo look its snowing,” Pyra says as the white slowly starts to drift down.
The first cords of jingle bells started and Pyra grinned. Moving her hand so she could play as well she started jingle bell rock.
Billy grinned and they continued to play as the snow continued to fall about them. It wasn’t until they saw the Slythern Quiddich team run past them that they decided that maybe they should go inside. Melting snow as they stepped into it the heated pair strolled to the castle.
Stepping inside the castle they watched as the Slythern’s shook snow from their hair and shivered.
“You were outside like that?!” Draco asked Billy who was shaking his hair free of snow.
“Like what?” Billy asked as his hair caught fire getting rid of the last of the snow and keeping the gelled spikes intact.
“Nothing, nevermind,” Draco said having nearly forgotten Billy’s meta power. Billy shrugged and walked over to Pyra and Mystic who were standing at the window.
“Its really coming down.”
“Yeah its gonna look really nice tomorrow,” Mystic said with a smile.
“And it won’t even turn gray ten minutes later,” Pyra added.
“Heh heh,” Mystic started but was cut off by a shocked exclamation.
“Where the hell is my broom?” The Slythern beater exclaimed. “I put it right here!” He said pointing to a spot on the wall where there was indeed a wet spot to show where the broom had dripped but no broom.
”I don’t know, maybe we should ask the Gryffindor,” Draco sneered.
“And maybe you should check if you brain cells haven’t frozen, I’m way over here ass,” Pyra said in annoyed response.
“Like you couldn’t use some magic,” Draco added.
“Why the fuck would I want a stupid wet broom?”
“Pyra didn’t take the broom drop it Malfoy,” Billy said shaking his head. Reaching his arm blindly he grabbed for his guitar and finally turned when his hand came up with nothing but air. “What the…where’s my guitar?!” Billy exclaimed shocked.
“What?!” Pyra yelled turning to where the Guitar had been. “I swear if its that idiot ghost I’ll find a why to kill him again.”
”Peeves? No he can’t make things vanish like that,” Mystic said.
“What are you students doing out here? Didn’t you hear the annoucment? All of you to the great hall,” Professor Flitwick said waving his hand to get them all moving.
The group made their way to the great hall and Pyra finally separated from Billy and walked over to the Gryffindor table where she was almost instantly accosted by Harry.
“I saw you with the Slytherin team, were you giving away our team secrets?” He snapped grabbing her arm.
”I know you did not just touch me,” Pyra growled yanking her arm away.
Pyra replied by poking him in the chest with bruising force as she spoke. “You want to know so badly? *poke* Fine, One, *poke* I do not have to answer to you. Two, *Poke* how the fuck will I tell them a secret do I a. *Poke* watch you idiots practice or b *poke* give a rats ass about Quiddicth? Now ever touch me again and I will break your hand understood?”
“I’m not afraid of you…”
”It’s not my fault you’re dumb,” Pyra said and took a seat still slightly fuming. She was so annoyed she almost forgot what they were there for. A call for attention had her focus on the teachers table.
“Well students, it seems like we are in store for the worst storm in nearly 50 years. So sit tight. I believe it goes without saying that the Hogsmead weekend is cancelled. But that should give you all time to brush up on your studies. I hear that there is an exceptionally difficult history of magic exam coming up for some.” Groans were heard all around at that before Dumbledore continued.
“Do not let the snow damper your spirits, oh and of course flying, quidditch and practice are prohibited until it is safe. Enjoy your weekend!”
Pyra was the first at her table to stand glaring a death stare at Harry as she made her way out of the great hall.
