"Tommy wake up." Gaia whisperd shaking her brother.
"Huh?" He said rubbing his eyes. He sat up and saw both his sister's with flashlights and sneakers on waiting expectantly.
"Come on! There's something outside. Its glowing."
"Really where?" He said instantly more awake.
"She went to the Shire. She has pretty hair."
"Put on your sneakers!" Lani hissed impatiently.
"But I can't tie them yet," he muttered.
"Me neither, look," Gaia says extending a foot where her laces were stuffed inside her shoe.
"You guys are such babies," Lani says proudly showing off her tied shoe.
"That's not true! You don't untie them I saw you!" Tomas says annoyed.
"Come on before it gets away."
"It wasn't Auntie Mysti?" Tomas asks as he searches under his bed for his shoes.
"No! Her hair is brown this one was yellow like dad's but pretty and long. It reached her here," Gaia says pointing to her hip.
"I can't find my flashlight," Tomas whined.
"We can share," Lani says holding up her Green Lantern one a gift from her godfather.
"Okay shhhh," Gaia whispers as the three five year olds go tiptoeing out of the room.
Their 'stealthy' departure is caught by two very watchful sets of eyes as Isis and Lucky follow the triplets in their cat forms.
They enter the Shire and start waving around their flashlights. Legolas notices the lights but ignores them at first until he hears the tiny voices.
"Are you sure its here?"
"Yeah it you guys didn't take so long..."
"Why didn't you go by yourself them?"
"Next time I will."
Legolas started going towards the children wondering what they were doing in the woods alone at this time of night.
"Tommy I wanna go home, its dark," Lani whined.
"Okay I think its gone," Gaia says sadly. The children turn and are stunned to see what they were looking for up close. They scream and start running in another direction knocking over a person and nearly stepping on a cat.
"Lucky!" Lani exclaims hugging him tightly.
"What are you guys doing out here?"
"We wanted to find the glowing girl with the pretty hair."
Lucky started laughing as Legolas appeared again. "You mean him?"
All three children hide behind Lucky, Lani clutching Isis for extra defense. Tomas is the first one to peek and recognizes the face despite the hair and the slight glow.
"Uncle Orli?"
"Hi Tomas." Lani and Gaia also look out from behind Lucky. Gaia walks over to Orlando and touches his hair.
"Ooo hey guys its soft come on."
"Is it really him?" Lani asked refusing to remove her death grip from Isis.
"Yeah come on, hey you're ears are pointy," Tomas says. "Like an elf."
"I am an elf."
"Ohhh and you thought he was a girl. Hey can I touch your bow?"
"Shouldn't you all be in bed?"
"Umm..." Gaia starts.
"Come on now go. We can talk about this first thing in the morning."
"But..."
"You don't want Pyra to find out do you?" Lucky asks.
"We're coming we're coming," Tomas mutters looking longly at the bow.
The next morning bright and early Nausi is startled to hear a knock at the door. She opens it to find three smiling faces and a sleepy eyed Pyra.
"Pyra what the fudge?"
"They want to see elf boy."
Nausi raises an eyebrow and calls, "Landie you have visitors."
