Monday..

Pyra took a deep breath as she stepped over a patch of ice continuing to sip her strawberries and cream Frap completly ignoring the fact that the wind was blowing her coat in all different directions and the drink was somwhat out of place. But she had always felt winter was the perfect time for such drinks and ice cream.
Noticing a crowd outside of Irving Plaza she was about to turn away when she read the marquee and stared open mouthed. How had she missed such a thing completly, they had a show?
She was still staring when a black van with tinted windows pulled up besides her. "Need a lift hot stuff?"
Pyra turned a curse on the tip of her tongue when the voice registerd in her mind. "AJ?"
"One and only, in you go," he said opening the car door. Pyra climbed into the car feeling quite lost. She waved at Howie as AJ hugged her.
"Are you going to the show tonight?"
"I didn't know there was one, I was walking by and it was like woah am I reading the marquee right? And if so woot," Pyra said silently glad she hadn't used a glamor to simply pick up some things at Circut City. The months without her powers had made her realize just how little people noticed things.
"Yeah," Howie said with a smile.
"Hey aren't you three short?"
"They are behind us somewhere. Want to check out the sound check?"
"If I start jumping up and down shrieking will you throw me out of the van?"
Both boys laughed as AJ reached for the door handle.
"Hardy har har. Anyways so you guys have apparently been busy."
"Yeah so have you," Howie said, "Nick really liked your CD."
"That's cool, please tell me that I am not so out of the loop that your CD is out already."
"Oh no not till June," Howie stated.
"We just let out our first single a couple days ago, Incomplete."
"All I'm hearing is that you guys are great big teases letting loose a song ages before the cd comes out."
"Supply and demand," Howie said with a laugh as Pyra wrapped her headphones around her iPod.
"What are you listening to?"
"Believe it or not you guys, I've been having a weird time and you guys help me think and put things in prespective without the anger my other loves cause."
"That CD was on the angry side."
"Oh yeah that," Pyra said with a shrug, her mind still whirling on Saturday night and what that could mean.
"So," AJ asked draping an arm around her shoulder, "seeing anyone?"
Pyra rolled her eyes and removed his arm. "And if I said no?"
"I'd say I chose a hell of a time to get a girlfriend."
"You are such a tease."
AJ smiled innocently as they finally pulled into the parking lot away from prying eyes though a few of the more devious fans were waiting camera's and sharpies in hand.
For about six girls the boys smiled signed and hugged as Pyra stood off to the side her bag in hand as the other navigatior pulled into the lot and out came the rest of the band.
She was glad the the girls were there as it gave her a moment to study Kevin who was back to short hair and looking as hot as ever in black and blue. She suddendly wondered about this and if it was a good idea. THey hadn't exactly on bad terms but hadn't kept in touch either. Would she even be welcome? Strong arms wrapped aroind her and she looked up surprised before wrapping her arms back around him.
"Hey," she whispered.
"Its great to see you. I was hoping you'd come."
"I had little choice I was snatched off the streets Frap and all." He nodded and reached a hand to Pyra's hair.
"That's different," he said touching a blue streak.
"Yeah, I will most likely go back to the red though, I don't match my clothes anymore."
"You will always look great." Kevin said and Pyra smiled shyly as they were ushered by security into the plaza.
"Have you heard the single yet?"
"No complete and utter shock I think I am falling out of everything with all these club shows."
"Its only a few days old. I think you will enjoy it."
"I believe my kidnapper said something along those lines."
"Kidnapper?"
"Who else?" Pyra asked and Kevin glanced at AJ. "You got it."
"Of course," Kevin said, "but for once I don't think I mind his antics if that is what brought you here."
"So besides the CD how have you been?"
"Pretty good. And you?"
"You hear the CD?"
"Yeah."
"Yeah," Pyra said simply.
"But you were in the hospital for a while."
"Yeah I was an idiot. It wasn't as bad as the press made it out to seem though."
"Of course not. You don't have to explain that to me as long as you are better now.
"Yep peachy keen even."
Pyra was ushered off to the side where she got reaquainted with Brian's wife and AJ's on again off again girlfriend. Pyra was glad Nick had already broken up with Paris though she doubted this would have been good enough to hold her attention for long if at all. Instead she enjoyed chatting with the ladies and was taken by surprise when the first song started in the sound check.
She moved to the side of the stage and watched the guys perform. Falling back in time almost as the guys sang older songs.
Pyra was slightly dreamy when 'Incomplete started up and she wished she could tape the song and keep it until the CD came out. After about another twenty minutes where the boys even let lose some dance moves it was over and Pyra and the girls cheered the band on.
"Man that was great," Pyra said as the guys downed bottles of water.
"Thanks," Brian said.
"Its so cool that you guys are doing something this small. Its great."
"Yeah before we start playing stadiums."
"Oh the insanity," Pyra said as Kevin draped an arm around her. "You know that song was wild."
"We are trying a lot of new things."
"And I loved Incomplete. Which is good since that is all I will have until June you big meanies." Kevin laughed and lead her away from the group. "Where are we going?"
He smiled and lead her to a side corridor. "AJ said something I was wondering if it was true."
"If what was true?" Pyra asked though she knew the question.
"Are you single?"
"Uh...Yes...bu..." Pyra was silenced by a kiss to her lips and she wondered what it was about being a singer that made good kissers. Kevin pulled away and smiled softly at Pyra.
"I want us to try again. No strings, nothing looming in the future just the here and now."
"I..." Kevin put a finger to her lips.
"I don't need an answer now, think about it," he leaned forward to kiss her again but this time planted one on her cheek and for the second time in as many days Pyra stood dumbfounded not sure what to do with herself.
