Tuesday....
Pyra stared at the picture again and again. It had been five years and she still
wanted it. The only thing that had changed was the location. Clicking out of the
reminder she had set up ages ago, she hit print as she could just make out the sounds
of JC in the kitchen. Sighing she knew she had avoided him long enough, and made her
way out of the den into the kitchen.
"Hey," she said quietly taking a seat at the counder.
"I'm making chicken and linguini."
"Okay...um..." Pyra started not sure where to begin and talking to his back wasn't
helping.
"So what happened to you last night?"
"I ended up going to a show."
"The backstreet show?"
"How did you..."
"See Kevin?"
"Josh I..
"Did you see him or not?
"Yes Joshua but.."
"Dinner will be ready in fourty five minutes."
Pyra blinked and waited for more. After a few minutes she stood and headed out the
door. She headed over to Nausi's and knocked and was greeted with a grinning Orlando.
"Hello Pyra, come in come in," he said stepping aside.
"Hey, thanks, so where's the wife?"
"Kitchen she's chopping."
"Cool," she said following him as he lead the way into the kitchen.
"Hey Py Py, what brings you here in pajamas none the less."
Pyra looked down at herself and shrugged. "Eh, I need to talk to you. But you gotta
like swear to not tell Mystic. I mean never, though she might not care so much
now anyway but still."
"You kissed JC."
"Dude! He kissed me!
"Unless you shoved him away and punched him in the eye there was mutual kissing."
"Nausi," Pyra moaned as she sank into a chair.
"What happened then?"
Pyra went on to relate the details of Saturday. "And now he's making me feel all
guilty about Kevin."
"Kevin? Richardson?"
"Yes him."
"What the hell does Kevin have to do with this?"
"Well I sorta went to the backstreet show yesterday."
"They are still together? They still do shows?"
"Yes yes, new CD out in June, little club tour. But anyways, he's acting like I
cheated on him or something."
"Well you guys talked about it on Sunday right? Are you a couple or not?"
"I didn't talk to him. Today is the first time we talked."
"How do you do that when you are living together and you didn't leave your house
all day?
"Hiding."
"You know you have to talk to him. Do you want to be with him?"
"I don't know."
"What happened with Kevin?"
"Uh...he kissedmetooandwantstotryagain."
"What kind of slut are you?"
"Ha ha."
"So you want to be with Kevin?"
"I don't know."
"What do you know then?"
"I want to get a tattoo."
"What? What does that have to do with anything?"
"Nothing." Nausikaa shook her head as she placed her chopped vegatables in a pot.
"You gonna stay for dinner?"
"No Josh is making Linguini." Noticing the strange look from Nausi she asked. "What?"
"Nothing Py."
"Okay, any ideas?
"First of all you have to decide what you want and you have to tell JC that. You can't
lead him on if you want to go out again with Kevin."
"I'm not leading him on."
"Dude not saying anything at all if you don't want anything to do with him is the
same thing."
"Okay, I think I should go back, I'll talk to you later dude."
"Okay but you still have to tell me about that tattoo."
"I'll call you later."
"You better."
Pyra smiled waving as she made her way back to her house. She shut the door and
turned startled to find JC standing in front of her.
"Geez! You scared me!"
JC shrugged taking a step forward and Pyra took one back hitting the door on her
second step back. "Jo.." The kiss was just as startling as the first though this
time JC did not relent. Giving in JC pulled away sligtly a few moments later but
remained inches apart from her.
Pyra blinked slowly and looked at JC wondering why he was doing this when her pocket
vibrated.
She reached for the phone but JC grabbed it and tossed it behind him on the couch
and kissed Pyra again. Pyra finally pulled back and manvored her way around JC
though he would not let her pass him.
"What?!" Pyra finally exclaimed.
"Tell me you didn't enjoy that."
"That's not the point."
"If that is not the point what is?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"Do you want to be with me?"
"I don't know."
"So Kevin huh?"
"I don't know!"
"How hard is it?"
"Yeah what are the chances of me not fucking it up. You actually expect a happilly
ever after."
"Why are you so sacred to try?"
"I...its been seven years why now?"
"Don't avoid the question."
"You know how I feel about you that's not the point."
"No I don't know and that is the point."
Pyra sighed finally making her way around JC to take a seat on the couch. She pulled
a pillow into her arms. Why didn't she want to give them a chance? She did find
him more or less attractive even with his latest fashion decisions, she knew he
would be a sweet and understanding boyfriend. But he was just as much on the rebound
as she was.
"Your still Joshie who seems to be intent on kissing me at this point. I don't know
what do with that change okay. Pouncing on me isn't going to change that no matter
how good a kisser you are."
"That's it?"
"Joshua you should know me well enough by know, my answer right now is I don't freaking
know. I'm going to make a phone call."
"To Kevin?" Pyra glared.
"Not that its any of your buisness but to Chazzy."
"Why?"
"You'll see."
Pyra picked up the phone and dialed and waited as the phone rang. Sam answered and
Pyra smiled as JC went into the kitchen to check on dinner. "Hey Sam is Chester
about?"
"He's putting Draven down it'll be a..."
"Sam! WAND NOW!" Pyra could hear from over the phone."
"Gotta go Draven's meta power is a little wild at the moment."
"Take care of that don't worry. Bye." Pyra heard the click and wondered who she
could call.
"Why did you need Chester?"
"Lookie here,"
Pyra said flaming the picture on the table. "I want it on my arm."
"Jeff."
"Ah! Of course. Its been a couple of months now," Pyra said scrolling through her
phone for his number. "Ana! Hey! Dude you busy tomorrow? Great! See you them."
"What happened?"
"He was coming to the city anyway! Excellent."
